I like this trade a lot. Polanco is a solid 2B, one of my favorite because he is so undervalued. I would not be surprised to see him hit .300 this y ear, so he is a solid starter at 2B. While Cano is better, Guillen is much better than Renteria, who will see limited playing time due to the move by guillen. Both of these guys are also in the middle of an explosive Tigers lineup, so runs and RBI's will not be a problem. Add the fact that you get another pitcher to your staff, lock it up. Reap the rewards, and pull the trigger.
