Do Hillary supporters really think their 2012 plan will work?

By torpedoing Obama's chances and insuring a McCain victory this fall, they think that Hillary will be able to waltz into the Presidency in 2012. Are they really that delusional? What makes them think that the Dems will vote for a candidate that intentionally undermined their party's chances in 2008?
