Can I use a vista home premium to remote access a vista home basic computer?

I would like to help my cousin with some issues he has on his newly acquired computer. We have done all the steps from both sides but we cant seems to connect. Subsequently I have read on one of those PC Magazine site that this does not work for the home editions of the operating sys. Is this true?
